I am Peter Vorstenbos. I work at Techone, a Dutch managed service provider, on product development and marketing.

I write here about software that acts on its own, about who is accountable when it does, and about what that does to the business of running services for other people. Not about how to switch a feature on. There are plenty of people for that, and they do it better.

Why you might read this

Because I watch it happen where it happens. We hold the keys to other people’s systems. Whatever an agent does there, it does with our hands.

Why you might not believe it

I am not a lawyer and not a researcher. What is here is what I have seen and what I make of it, with a date underneath so you can weigh how old it is. Where I speculate, I say so.
